Namibia Socio-economic Development - Grina Technologies

Memorandum of Understanding:
Grina Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of Namibia.

The purpose of the MoU is to expand and formalize a platform for discussions and for sharing information and advanced technology leading to sustainable socio-economic development. The MoU outlines plans for cooperation on a variety of sustainable development areas, including large-scale socio-economic development and economic gardening for encouragement of Namibian and American entrepreneurial growth. Grina will train, design and facilitate import/export of products, services and technology between Namibia and the rest of the world.

The opportunity…
Enormous investment opportunities exist for key sectors and multi sector economic development. As one of the youngest and stable, market economies in Africa, Namibia provides an enabling environment for investment. Namibia upholds the principles of democracy, human rights, transparency and good governance. Investment opportunities are supported by generous tax incentives for investment and are especially attractive for American businesses.

The Government of the Republic of Namibia is committed to stimulate economic growth and employment and to establish Namibia as a gateway location in the Southern African region. Incentives are largely concentrated on stimulating manufacturing in Namibia and promoting exports into the region and to the rest of the world. Incentive regimes in place are designed to give Namibia-based entrepreneurs who invest in manufacturing and re-export trade a competitive edge. These tax and no-tax incentives are accessible to both existing and new manufacturers.

Namibia is a country of compelling beauty, abundant sunshine, and a feeling of open space and truly a tourist’s paradise. With its unspoiled landscapes and large variety of game, Namibia is one of the larger countries in Africa and draws an increasing number of visitors from various part so the globe. Contact Grina Technologies and we can help you grow your business in this emerging market.

Namibia like other developing countries lacks both the human and institutional capacity to deal with development issues especially in trade, mobilization of resources and service provision, among others. The country also lacks appropriate technologies, especially technologies that promote development. As for Globalization, it may have presented opportunities for some, but for Namibia, it presents more challenges than opportunities.

Grina Technologies is providing the institutional capacity and world class technology to assist Namibia in dealing with socioeconomic development issues including trade.
